If only one would last about 3-4 years, I would be truly satisfied. that really is embarrassing for a company such as Razer. It drives me crazy to think that I will replace the current one I have 4-5 times. I still haven't found another mouse that is as comfortable immediately as the DeathAdder. The one Logitech I have high hopes for, but still have never tried is the Logitech G502 Proteus Spectrum. I have tried a few Logitech mice over the years, as they are very highly recommended, but have never found that they fit as perfectly as a DeathAdder fits in my hand. That's over 600 MB for mouse software!? That is with me turning off Chroma Apps and Advanced Stats Tracking too.

The two or folders that contain the software add up as 244 MB + 375 MB = 619 MB. It constantly updates (without changing versions or builds). No internet connection required! The other thing about Synapse is the size it takes up on the hard drive. Not that it makes it right! I would absolutely prefer that Razer let you save preferences to on-board memory within the actual mouse. Constant connectivity with their users, and I find it annoying and invasive, but everyone seems to be doing it. As for Razer's software, Synapse, after realizing you only really need to connect to the internet the first time to register the mouse, you really don't need a constant connection, but this is what they truly want. That extended warranty will get me my money's worth.

So for years, I have simply purchased extended warranties from my local computer store - and inevitably every time I purchase the newest, latest and greatest DeathAdder, I will replace it numerous times. If I want to have a DeathAdder that works for a long period of time - I need to get an extended warranty. they make a very comfortable and responsive mouse, but I often, will need to get a replacement due to a malfunction of some kind. Menace97's Experience I have a love-hate relationship with Razer. You can also customize the weight of the gaming mouse between 121-139 grams and its center of balance with up to five 3.6 gram weights to adjust how it feels as it moves across your mousepad. It has an on-the-fly CPI switch with 5 states and the mouse can store three different macro profiles and can switch between them with a button press. The scroll wheel can act as a smooth unhindered scroll or a notched scroll depending on how you want to use it. All of these buttons can be programmed to do pretty much whatever you want. In addition to the standard left, right, and scroll wheel buttons, there's a button below the scroll wheel, three thumb buttons, two buttons to the left of the left mouse button and you can tilt the mouse wheel left and right for extra functionality as well. Highly customizable The G502 gaming mouse has 11 programmable buttons, support for macros and profiles, adjustable weight and center of balance, two scroll wheel modes, and a plethora of settings to customize.
